Welcome to my first post of 'The Forever Ink'. Here I will challange myself and you into being yourself and allowing others to do the same. Sounds deep, eh? Nope.
I have a confession to make. I love tattoos. I love anything to do with tattoos. I love people with tattoos. Sometimes I live, eat and breath tattoos. My inner-reflective self wants to understand 'why' I have this compulsive disorder for this truly magnificent art form. 'Why?'
This is my question but I would hate to think that I am the only one that has it.
To me, getting tattooed represents expression. Obvious, you say? Nope. Wearing designer jeans is an obvious form of expression but scarring your skin with permanent ink goes a tad bit deeper. I have read that our subliminal mind can relate to the form of tattoos as early human identification markings in society. Is it much different today? Do we not all want to stand out? Do we not all want others to notice us? Do tattoos properly express our living testimony?
With 'The Forever Ink' I hope to delve deeper into this art form with the help of my readers, friends, and family. I will be posting articles, opinions, pictures, surveys and anything else I can get my hands on to try to understand my love for this art form.
